This week’s fishing report is from Ron Bierstine from Oak Orchard Tackle and Lodge, December 24, 2018.
Hope you all are having a Merry Christmas! And, sorry for the delay in publishing our weekly fishing report during this busy time of year.
Flows in the Oak are down some to about medium and water color did get a little dirtier even as flows have dropped. Visibility is probably a foot or just less then a foot and slowly back on the clear. The other smaller tributaries are also dropping back to medium-ish flows but unlike the typical lag in the Oak they are clearing quicker with about 1 foot plus of visibility. Weather forecast looks clear and moderate or warming temps through the mid to end of week. No significant lake effect snow expected here on the WNY big Lake O Plain. We hope the new year brings a trophy steelhead!
