Salmon River report:

According to the Douglaston Salmon Run:

We had five anglers on the Run yesterday. Those that we spoke with did fairly well and reported getting into a mix of colored and fresh steelies and even had one report of a brown. Water flows remain at 1,200cfs through midnight on Friday. We have had some snow with a total of 4-8 inches of snow expected through Saturday morning.

According to Whitaker’s Sport Shop & Motel:

We had very little impact from the nor’easter this week with a few inches of lake effect expected through Saturday. Some of the drift boats guides are continuing to take advantage of the high water and are getting into fish. In the upper end of the river between Altmar and Pineville bank anglers have been successful while dead drifting with nymphs or bottom bouncing with egg sacs. In the lower end of the river anglers have been getting into fish while float fishing with blue egg sacs, beads and pink worms. Anglers have also been finding activity in some of the smaller local tributaries.
