Oswego River report
According to Capt. Kevin Davis of Catch the Drift:
Very cold weather on Monday but we were still getting them. Not for the faint of heart. Cold, wind and lots of snow yesterday and today so no report. Our anglers couldn’t get here. A little warmer temperatures with light snow showers for the weekend. The water flow is running at 8,140cfs.
The bridge to Leto Island is closed, and there are Mandatory Personal Flotation Device (PFD) zones on the Oswego River below the Varick Dam. For more information, view the Oswego County Tourism website at www.visitoswegocounty.com and look for fishing reports along the top bar on the home page.
Salmon River report:
According to the Douglaston Salmon Run:
It’s been quiet on the Run this week with the weather. One angler did report two steelhead on Monday but yesterday and today have been rough with wind and snow. The water release at the dam is 1700cfs and 1990cfs at Pineville. The snow will subside overnight and temperatures will begin to moderate on Friday with highs in the 30s through the weekend.
Oneida Lake and Sandy Pond report:
We have had very little to report from these waters. We have had cold temperatures over the last few days but also heavy snow and strong winds.
