Oak Orchard River

The best known of the 4 tributaries within Orleans County, the “Oak” as it is known, provides truly a year round fishery. Fall, winter and early spring offers some of the best tributary fishing for all of the cold water species with the exception of Lake Trout. Named one of the top five brown and steelhead trout tributaries in the United States by several fly fishing magazines, the “Oak” provides plenty of good parking in the upper reaches. The Archer’s Club area is one to everyone and offers some unique facilities not often found along the banks. During the summer months this is the place to be for experiencing the great Lake Ontario cold water fishery available in Orleans County. An extremely knowledgeable charter fleet, plenty of launch sites, a full service marina, fully stocked tackle shops, great restaurants and great accommodations are waiting for you close to the harbor entrance.
