A notorious fishing hotspot with cottage colonies and waterfront restaurants, Black Lake is a must-stop when in Northern New York’s St. Lawrence County. At Black Lake, target the shallow bays and creek arms for large pan fish. The water temperature is key for schooling these fish up in areas that are 2-4 degrees warmer than the main lake. Use small colored jigs tipped with worms and or minnows. Fish on or near fallen brush, rock piles and weed beds.
